After graduating from dental school, Dr. Silva was accepted to an AEGD (advanced education in general dentistry) program at the University of California, San Francisco. He then went on to work with a very successful prosthodontist (a dentist who specializes in complex cases involving the replacement of teeth).
In 1991, Dr. Silva married Michele. The following year, he bought a general dentistry practice in Lodi, CA, and has practiced here ever since. Dr. Silva and his wife have four wonderful children: Clayton, Ray, Daniel, and Caleb. Dr. Silva and Michele are very involved in their church and enjoy living and working in the local community.
Dr. Silva has undergone many hours of continuing education in several areas of study. He focuses on staying up to date with the latest technologies and techniques to provide his patients with the best care possible. Dr. Silva enjoys working with his team in a spirited environment, helping his patients achieve the smiles they desire.

Lead Dental Assistant
Gina has been working in the dental field since 2002. She started working with Dr. Silva in 2006. She enjoys working in the back helping patients through their treatment and caring for them during their visit. When she is not working, she likes to spend time with her husband and care for her four kids. She also enjoys going boating with her family, dining out, and attending Raider games.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Stacy earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in 2005. She received numerous leadership awards and accolades for her service to the university community during her tenure, including being recognized as one of the 10 Outstanding Seniors from her graduating class of 8,000 students. She began practicing with Dr. Silva in 2007 and has obtained her certificate to perform soft tissue laser curettage. She enjoys using her gifts of compassion, gentleness, and humor to provide exemplary care to meet the unique and individualized needs of her patients. When she is not practicing dental hygiene, she cares for her 2 young children and spends time with her husband. She enjoys staying active, practicing yoga, and traveling.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Melissa is a lifelong resident of Manteca, having attended French Camp Elementary and East Union High School. She graduated from Taft School of Dental Hygiene in 2000. She has been in the dental field for 19 years in different capacities but has definitely found her niche as a hygienist in our office since 2005. When not at the office, Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and participating in the Portuguese Club in Manteca.
Dental Assistant & Front Desk Receptionist
Lori is delighted to become part of the Dr Silva team. Lori has extensive experience in the field of dentistry. She has worked in several capacities: starting as a chairside assistant, continuing to become a registered dental assistant, and eventually working towards office administration. She managed a dental office in Elk Grove for 12 years before becoming a stay-at-home mother for her two sons, the greatest accomplishment of her life. She re-entered the dental workforce in 2023 to help pay for her oldest son’s nursing school. When Lori is not at the office she loves learning about the Lord and spending time with her husband, two sons, and 4 dogs. She enjoys hiking outdoors with her family and dogs when possible.
Patient / Insurance Coordinator
Melissa Alcala is a proud Bay Area native with a passion for dentistry that spans over three decades. Since beginning her career in 1994, she has worked in both clinical and administrative roles, starting in the back office and later transitioning to the front office, where she continues to deliver outstanding patient care and support. Known for her warm, humorous personality and exceptional organizational skills, Melissa plays a key role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment for both patients and staff.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, shopping, attending car shows with her ’66 Mustang, cheering on her favorite football team (Go Raiders!), and spending quality time with family and friends.
