Are you considering scheduling an appointment with Dr. Gary Silva? Have you already made your appointment, but wonder what a visit to our Lodi, CA dental office may entail? It’s natural to be curious about what to expect from your first visit to our office. Let’s talk about what happens at a new patient appointment at Gary Silva, DDS.
When you first arrive at our office, you will be greeted by a warm, friendly smile. Each of our staff members has been with us for some time now and is dedicated to making sure you have a wonderful experience at our office. Our team members are outgoing, friendly, and helpful. They will treat you with the personalized care you deserve.
Before your appointment, you will be asked to fill out our new patient forms. We require all new patients to fill out these forms so we can collect dental history information as well as insurance details. It is a necessary part of our office procedure. To save yourself some time, you may download and fill out the new patient forms before you arrive at our office.
When it is your turn to go back, we will show you around the office and ask you to sit through just a couple of routine examinations. These examinations may include a visual exam, cancer screenings, and a TMJ evaluation. We will look for anything abnormal or out of place in your mouth. It is our goal to catch any dental issues before they become larger problems.
We will also ask that you allow us to take some intraoral images and digital X-rays. These images will allow us to see what is going on underneath the surface. It will give us an accurate picture of your current dental situation and allow us to expertly diagnose any current issues. We aim to be as thorough as possible with each of these examinations and imaging sessions so we can help you get the treatment you may need.
We are often told by patients that they have never before had a series of examinations like they have received in our office. This means we are thorough, checking for every problem that may exist. Our dental exams allow us to create a blueprint of your dental situation. This blueprint is the starting place for any treatment we may suggest. After the blueprint is created, we can then discuss treatment options and schedule additional appointments.
We hope this gives you a better idea of what will happen when you visit our office for the first time. We want to make sure we understand your current situation and how we can best help you achieve your goals.
